The Process
Tech 4 Non Tech
Project - To complete seven animations varying in lengths, in the style of a previous animation. Three weeks turn-around.
What was supplied - Scripts, Research document, and MP4 of previous animation example.
Problem 01 - The research document was extensive but had very few images and wasn't well organised.
Solution - Further extensive research was needed by myself. Illustrations and animations were created at various angles to help explain how each part works.
Outcome - All animations were delivered on time and were signed off by a qualified mechanic with very minor amends.
Unfolded
Project - To create a series of KS1 educational animations for a on going project. The animations vary in length but roughly about one minute long.
What was supplied - Scripts, stock assets.
Problem 01 - For these animations to be cost effective the turn-around time needed to be very quick.
Problem 02 - Not all the courses have been scripted so it is unknown what will need to be animated.
Solution - To build a template where the animation can be created quickly, building out various scenes where the characters can be interchangeable.
Outcome - All animations are running like clockwork there's a turn-around time of one day per animation.
